Refund Policy
1. What We Sell
Sunday Eng sells virtual coins ("Coins") that can be used within the app to publish longer posts. Coins are a virtual in-app item with no cash value. They are not money or currency, and they cannot be redeemed, exchanged or withdrawn for cash — see section 4 of our Terms of Use.
2. How We Put a Failed Purchase Right
You paid for coins, so our first remedy is always to give you those coins. This is usually faster than a bank refund and you end up with exactly what you paid for.
- Payment succeeded, coins not received: we credit the coins to your account. We aim to do this within 2 business days of verifying the payment, and if anything holds it up we will tell you and stay with it until it is done.
- Technical failure during purchase: same — if the payment went through and the coins did not, we credit the coins.
- How we check, and where money goes. Every coin purchase is recorded on our side with the payment gateway's own order reference. We check any claim against that record — not against what either of us remembers — and any money we return goes back to the card, UPI or account the payment was made from. We never send money to a different account, and we never ask you for your card details, UPI PIN, OTP or bank password. Anyone who asks you for those in our name is not us.
- Duplicate payment: we credit the coins for the duplicate charge, or return the money if you prefer. Any money we return goes back the same way it came — to the card, UPI or account the payment was made from. We cannot send it anywhere else.
- If we cannot deliver the coins for any reason — for example your account no longer exists — we return the money instead — again, back to the card, UPI or account the payment came from, never to a different one. See section 7.
3. How We Verify a Claim
Every purchase is recorded by our payment processor, Cashfree Payments, and every coin credit is written to our own transaction log against that payment. Before we credit or refund anything, we check your claim against those records. Transaction history inside the app is kept for a limited period and is then cleared automatically, which is one reason claims should be made promptly.
- We do not act on screenshots, images, or messages alone. They are not proof of payment.
- If our payment processor has no record of a completed payment, the claim will be declined.
- If the coins were already credited, we will show you the transaction; nothing further is owed.
- Claims that are false, repeated, or made to obtain coins or money that were never paid for are treated as fraud, and may result in the account being closed under our Terms of Use.
4. Non-Refundable Cases
- Coins already used to publish posts or for any other feature in the app.
- Change of mind after a successful purchase where the coins were correctly credited.
- Coins remaining in an account that was suspended or closed because the account holder broke our Terms of Use or Content Policy.
- Coins remaining in any account that is closed or deleted, for any reason.
- Claims we cannot verify against the payment processor's records.
5. Time Limit for Making a Claim
Please write to us within 7 days of the payment. If something outside your control stopped you writing in time — illness, travel, or an internet outage — tell us when you do write and we will still consider the claim.
In every case, a claim must reach us within 90 days of the payment. Claims made after 90 days cannot be considered. This 90-day limit is final: it is not extended by section 7 of our Terms of Use, and not by any other reason.
6. How to Make a Claim
Email us at sundayeng.team@gmail.com with:
- Your username in the app
- Transaction ID or date of payment
- Amount paid
- Brief description of the issue
We aim to respond within 2 business days — that is the time we work to, not a limit on your claim. Once your payment is verified, coins are normally sent to your account within a further 2 business days. Where money has to be returned instead, we normally arrange it within 5–7 business days. These are our usual timings, not guarantees — where something beyond our control delays us, as described in section 7 of our Terms of Use, we act as soon as we reasonably can.
7. How the Remedy Reaches You
Cashfree Payments processes the money you pay us when you buy coins. The coins themselves never go through Cashfree — they are added inside the app.
Coins. We send the coins to your username inside the app, in the same way any user can send coins to another user. Nothing leaves the app and no payment is made to you.
Money. In the rare case where money has to be returned instead, we return it through the payment method you used, back to the card, UPI or account the payment came from. If that is not possible, we will contact you to arrange it. Either way we will never ask you for your card details, UPI PIN, OTP or bank password — anyone who asks you for those in our name is not us.
